Glorfindel (2nd edition)

Lovely. He's very masculine and yet retains the 'elfness'.

Glorfindel (2nd edition)

Oh, he looks amazing! I would not want to be one of the "Bad Guys" and come up against this Glorfindel!

Author's Response:

Thank you! I’ve always loved Glorfindel - how can one not like the person who can make the Nazgûl tuck tail and run?

And I’ve noticed I posted the picture I scanned wrongly, but that’s fixed now.

Thanks for commenting :)

Great drawing! I like this version more than the new one.

Author's Response:

Thanks Ellynn, I'm glad you liked one of the versions. I was never completely satisfied with the nose and the hair in this version, so I decided to make a new.

Chapter 1

What a fabulous sketch!  I must say this ranks among my favorite renditions of the golden-haired dude.  Not to be irreverent, but to me (a denizen of Boston), he looks a bit like Tom Brady (an attractive fellow), the quarterback of the New England Patriots!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much - I'm really proud and honoured to know that my Glorfindel is among your favourites.

It's quite alright. When I imagine the characters I do get inspired by people I have seen and hence they will share traits with those people, but (hopefully) still have their own look - I think it's impossible not to be influenced by real people on a conscious or an unconscious level. It's not Tom Brady that's my inspiration (I know nothing of American football, and in Denmark you can only watch it in the telly at night. But, you're right: he is quite handsome, maybe it would be worth to sacrifice a night’s sleep just to watch the interviews ;) and he could be used as an inspiration for future elves), but Tristan Ludlow (aka Brad Pitt).

It’s good to hear from you – it’s been a while since you have spent time with your fellow lizards :)

This is wonderful. I love the expression you've captured of determination as well as a kind of "far-away" look.

Author's Response:

Thanks Dreamflower. I'm glad you like it and took the time to review :)
