And the Horselords Came

Very thought provoking!  The image of Elladan and Elrohir talking easily with the Rohir and Elrond looking on and changing his evaluation of the Man is powerful.  Now, as Elladan and Elrohir were born early in the Third Age while Elros died fairly early in the Second, they would know him only through the testimony of those who had known him, and primarily through what was told them by their father, most likely.  But the invocation of his uncle's name and love for Men in general was masterful here.  Yes, to accept the Rohir on his own merits without remembering past evil by ancestors he did not even know of is wisdom indeed, and I rejoice that Elrond realized he must be fair now.  And love the realization that the Rohirric steed is lovely in its own fashion.
