I remember this from LOTR community, but I enjoyed rereading it just now. I really like this -- beautiful and sad, melancholy in a very Tolkienish way.
Thank you very much!
That melancholy has always struck home with me--Tolkien sometimes criticizes the elves for it, but it is so clear that he felt it himself very strongly, sometimes.

I love this. It's like a prose poem. Very beautiful.
I'm big on nostalgia in my real life. So many people and places that I miss. (I think it comes with getting older or with having had a very full life--lots of good-byes and/or moving from one place to another.)
Thank you very much, Oshun! Glad you like it!
You've been amazing places, done amazing things and known amazing people, so no wonder you feel nostalgia at times!
