Kei recommended this profusely, but I didn't get to it at the time, and it's been nagging me, on and off, for months. So I tracked it down and finally read it.
Main thoughts are 'wow' and 'ouch'. Really nicely written, and you captured Boromir and his family particularly well. Particularly the connection and also tension between everyone. Boromir was never going to be allowed that happiness, and he has a reserve to his character that speaks of knowing from an early age his life is not his own.
Just - sad and true. And I can tell that you enjoyed writing it, it bleeds through the pages.
Thank you so much! This was kind of a scary prompt for me. I don't write LotR very often, and I've never written Gondor, but I LOVED the idea, and it was worth taking the risk. :) I'm glad it worked for you!
And I did really enjoy writing it--I surprised myself!

Oh my this was just absolutely wonderful. your metaphors, the twists and turns and emotions and desires glimmering faintly in light and shadow. The characters spot on. thank you so much for it.
Thank you so much! What a kind comment. I so appreciate you reading it and telling me what you thought.
This was the first time I've ever written a Gondor story. I was nervous about getting the details right, especially in light of how many authors have brilliantly written these characters before my novice attempt. I ended up having such fun writing the story; those twists and turns and making the pieces fit were a challenge but a most enjoyable one! I'm glad it worked for you. :)
