Story Notes:

Mostly drabbles and other short bits. I don't think anything particularly long will go in here.

Author's Chapter Notes:

Drabble written for B2MEM 2011.

Aule, the Worldsmith, Sang over the forms he had created, the consonance of his rough bass harmonizing with the Song of Ea. He lifted one stunted form to cradle in his brawny arms. Counting them, he smiled. Seven. Seven Children he could call his own. All his!

“Why hast thou done this?”

Aule bowed his head, and as Atar spoke, he eyed his Children, the mantle of his shame covering them. So! He must strike down these things he created! He lifted his hand against them.

Durin cried out in fear.

“Thy offer I accepted...”

Aule praised Eru’s mercy.
