My life has been long and storied. I am a former member of the Unites States Navy and served in Afghanistan, but that came after a long stint as an independent film maker, antique gallery owner, radio host and a few other ventures. I have climbed the main mast of the oldest commissioned warship in the world, flown in a black hawk helicopter over the absolutely empty waste of Helmand Province, pulled "G's" in Fat Albert, been in a car wreck, hunted in rugged wilderness, and had few other diversions along the way. I am married and the father of three children. Lastly, I'll add that I have published a few things and I've been an ardent Tolkien student for 40 years.
