Biography:
I was born 'neath a tropical sun, but have lived most of my life in the cloudy Pacific Northwest. I've been teaching most of my life--since I was five, actually--and have spent most of that time working with folks with various disabilities. And I've spent most of my life with books in hand, and preferably myths, legends, and fantasy. I encountered Tolkien in 1963-4, and became obsessed early. My obsession rekindled with the release of PJ's Fellowship, I found TheOneRing.net, and began reading fanfic. Then I read Lindelea's "A Small and Passing Thing," and had to answer it! So began my career as a fanfiction author.
I have never gotten into instant messaging, so don't bother trying. You can usually get hold of me via email, however. So far I've avoided most social boards other than LiveJournal. My work schedule is weird, so I'm rarely home when folks try to get in touch with me.
I follow the West Memphis Three case, am the widow of a blinded veteran, my Roses are White, my favorite other writers are too many to name, I collect books, I'm trained as a special education teacher with a primary interest in blindness, and also am trained as an instructor for Orientation and Mobility as well as being a braillist. So, if you find a blind character or two or individuals with other disabilities lurking about in my stories, know that it IS deliberate--it IS deliberate!

Fëanor, perhaps the greatest of the Elven smiths, after the theft of his Silmarilli and the murder of his father managed to upset the balance of the world, leading his sons and many of the Noldor in rebellion against the Valar and the rest of the Elves of Aman. But his estranged wife Nerdanel was a smith in her own right as well as being a sculptor of note, and to her the Valar appealed to craft artifacts intended one day to help restore the balance imperilled by her husband.
