I am a middle-aged special needs teacher, married with two children, and live in Central Scotland.


I originally came to fanfiction via the Discword fandom, but have since also written a fair amount of fics for LOTR. While I am not a completely devoted Tolkien fan, seeing weaknesses as well as strengths in his work, I think Middle-earth is one of the best sandboxes for us fanfic writers to play in. Tolkien's greatest achievement is, in my opinion, the fictional world he built, and it offers enough scope for all of us to expand and embroider.
